About Us

Zimmerman Law, P.C. is a premier civil defense firm with a long-standing reputation for excellence in medical malpractice litigation. We defend healthcare professionals and institutions facing complex liability claims, combining rigorous legal strategy with an unwavering commitment to our clients. We are trial lawyers first — and we’re looking for a talented litigator who’s ready to step into the courtroom and build a meaningful career in civil trial advocacy.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Trial Attorney to manage a robust caseload of high-stakes medical malpractice cases. This role is ideal for an attorney who wants to be in court — not bogged down in paperwork — and is passionate about defending clients through skillful, strategic trial work.

If you want to litigate serious cases before juries, challenge expert witnesses, and shape the narrative in the courtroom (all without practicing criminal law) this is the opportunity for you.

  • Go to Trial: Get in front of juries and practice the craft of advocacy. This is a trial-centered role for lawyers who want to be in the courtroom.

  • Real Impact: Protect the careers and reputations of healthcare professionals.

  • Team Environment: Join a supportive, experienced team of litigators who value collaboration and mentorship.

  • Room to Grow: Take ownership of your cases and advance your trial skills in a respected and growing firm.

What You’ll Do

  • Defend physicians, healthcare providers, and medical institutions in medical malpractice cases from inception through trial

  • Conduct and respond to discovery, take and defend depositions (including expert witnesses), and draft dispositive motions

  • Develop case strategy, retain and prepare expert witnesses, and handle all aspects of pretrial and trial work

  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and jury trials

  • Collaborate with partners, clients, insurers, and staff to achieve the best possible outcomes

What We’re Looking For

  • Admission to the state bar in good standing (or eligible for reciprocity)

  • Strong oral advocacy skills and courtroom presence

  • Ability to think strategically, write persuasively, and advocate with clarity and confidence

  • Comfort managing a dynamic caseload and working independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and responsive client service
